Just because we work for God doesn’t guarantee that we will have a happy marriage. When it comes to a healthy marriage, that’s something that we have to be deliberate about.
We, as ministers, have got to understand that our families are also the work of God.
My family is the work of God!
You don’t get to decide what is quality time; your family decides whether this is quality time or not.
If you want your children to enjoy being around you when they’re teenagers, you’ve got to prove to them when they’re children that you enjoy being with them.
We are in the people business and history is about people.
You never know when what you are learning today is going to be necessary in the future.
Always seek for a closer relationship with God.
Being a good preacher doesn’t mean I have a close relationship with God.
If I’m going to have a relationship with God, I have to spend time with him.
Never stop being a student.
I’m responsible for preaching God’s Word and if I don’t allow it to impact my life then I’m not going to be able to use it to impact anyone else’s life.
Never forget that you are a servant.
